The series begins in the summer of 1987. When Samantha finds herself mistaken for someone else by her neighbor, Julio, she quickly becomes aggravated with him until she ends up in the middle of a Q and A session with this neighbor. At first, Samantha doesn’t like his questions. In fact, she found them to be rather intrusive as well as embarrassing until she asked him the same questions. To her surprise, Julio answers them honestly, and Samantha learns a lot more than she ever expected about her neighbor. Admitting you are attracted to someone is crazy.  The story starts off in the summer of 1988. Samantha is getting on with her life after a breakup. The relationship is totally over until her Mom plans a trip for them to attend a wedding in Anaheim. A trip to California sounds awesome to everyone except Samantha. This is where her    ex-boyfriend Julio lives now and it's his Uncle Juan getting married.
